Nightfall: Escape Free Download [2023]

 Nightfall: Escape Introduction:

Nightfall: Escape, a survival horror game developed and published by Zeenoh Inc., a Filipino company, was released for Microsoft Windows, OS X, and Linux on June 26, 2016, through the Steam platform. The game follows the story of Ara Cruz, a field journalist tasked with investigating an old mansion associated with mysterious disappearances. Despite receiving a mixed reception from critics, Nightfall: Escape garnered praise for its compelling narrative and unique monster designs. Notably, it received the "Most Outstanding Narrative Story" award from the Department of Information and Communications Technology in collaboration with the Game Developers Association of the Philippines. An awards ceremony for games and animation, hosted by the Animation Council of the Philippines, took place on November 27, 2015, at SM Mall of Asia Cinema 5.

The development of Nightfall: Escape initially began as a mobile game in October 2014 but transitioned to a PC game for the Steam platform after a Kickstarter and Square Enix collective announcement campaign. However, the team later withdrew from Kickstarter and released the game in early access on the Steam platform. It gained "greenlight" status from the Steam Greenlight service and became available for download starting with the Pre-Alpha PC Version on May 11, 2015, followed by the beta version on May 30, 2016.

Gameplay:

Nightfall: Escape is a survival horror game set within a haunted mansion inhabited by mythical creatures from Philippine folklore. The game's presentation draws comparisons to the Silent Hill series, with the protagonist becoming trapped in an alternate dimension with no apparent escape.

The player initially equips Ara with a flashlight, but she later acquires a shard that enables her to use a "bloodlight" to reveal hidden hints and items. While this feature is valuable, it also makes her more visible to certain monsters and depletes her life, although her health can regenerate. Players can gather tools and weapons for various scenarios and must uncover the mansion's mysteries by collecting light shards that depict historical events related to it. Additionally, hidden items aid in solving puzzles throughout the mansion.

The game provides a pause screen menu featuring three divisions: Inventory, Bestiary, and Gallery. The inventory employs a grid system, automatically accessible when interacting with unlockables and puzzles. The Bestiary and Gallery are presented in a panel system, where players can explore the origins and stories of encountered monsters in the Bestiary section, while the Gallery displays 3D models of the monsters, acting as collectibles or trophies.

Nightfall: Escape immerses players in the perspective of Ara Cruz, a field journalist tasked with investigating a series of mysterious disappearances in a remote area. As she delves deeper into the investigation, she discovers that these disappearances are more than they initially seem. With little assistance from her reliable assistant, Jolo, Ara must unravel the mysteries of the abandoned mansion infested with creatures believed to exist only in folklore. Her journey leads her to either uncover the truth behind the missing individuals or become another victim herself.

The game also weaves a historical narrative dating back to 1899 during Spanish rule in the Philippines. It follows the tragic tale of Maria, a wealthy mestizo family's daughter, and Simon, the family's maid's son. Their love story unfolds against the backdrop of the Philippine–American War and ultimately leads to a series of fateful events, including rape, murder, and suicide. This historical narrative becomes intertwined with Ara Cruz's modern-day investigation, adding depth to the game's storyline.

Final Words:

In the end, Nightfall: Escape concludes with Ara's triumph over the evil form of Simon and her role in reuniting the souls of Maria and Simon, who then depart to the afterlife. However, the game's final scene leaves a mysterious and unsettling note as Ara returns to her office and her reflection transforms into a demonic visage, raising questions about her fate. It remains unclear whether this is an illusion or if Ara has been possessed by the malevolent Manananggal creature.

 Omensight Introduction:

"Omensight" is an action role-playing game that was both developed and published by the Canadian game development studio known as Spearhead Games. This particular title serves as a successor to their previous game, "Stories: The Path of Destinies," and is noteworthy for being set within the same fictional universe. The game had its initial release on May 15, 2018, and was made available on Microsoft Windows and PlayStation 4. Subsequently, it found its way to the Nintendo Switch on December 13, 2018, and the Xbox One on June 7, 2019.

Described by its creators as an "Action Murder Mystery" game, "Omensight" places players in the role of a legendary figure known as the Harbinger. This character is a mythical warrior who only appears when the world is faced with a dire crisis. In the narrative, a dark deity threatens to lay waste to the war-torn realm of Urralia. To save this world, the Harbinger must utilize a unique power called the Omensight, which allows them to journey back in time. This time-travel ability is harnessed to relive the final day leading up to a pivotal event—the murder of a priestess named Vera. The primary objective is to investigate the series of events that culminated in this tragic incident.

Gameplay:

During the course of this time-loop journey, the Harbinger encounters four significant companion characters, each of whom plays a crucial role in untangling the crisis:

Ludomir, a potent rodentian freedom fighter and the brother of Vera, though he grapples with his own struggles with alcoholism.
Draga, a studious and honorable general commanding the Pygarian Army.
Ratika, a cool and sardonic magical bard who serves as the leader of the Rodentian Forces.
Indrik, a ruthless and impatient Emperor of Pygaria, who can be eliminated if deemed necessary by the Harbinger to progress the investigation or obtain vital information needed to thwart the impending apocalypse.

In terms of critical acclaim, "Omensight" received positive reviews from various sources. The Lost Free Download [2023]

The Lost Introduction:

"The Lost" is a third-person shooter survival horror game that was in development by Irrational Games but never made it to release. Originally planned for launch in 2002 on PlayStation 2 and Xbox gaming consoles, the game encountered numerous challenges during its tumultuous development process, ultimately resulting in its cancellation.

This game drew significant inspiration from Dante Alighieri's epic work, "The Divine Comedy," with a particular focus on the "Inferno" section. The story unfolds in a contemporary setting and centers around Amanda Wright, a waitress and aspiring medical student. Amanda is a single mother who experienced the heart-wrenching loss of her only daughter, Beatrice, in a tragic car accident. Overwhelmed by grief and despair, Amanda reaches a point where she contemplates taking her own life. In a desperate act, she strikes a deal with the devil, trading her soul for a chance to embark on a perilous journey into a nightmarish realm, reminiscent of a concentration camp-like version of hell. Her objective is to rescue her daughter's soul from this nightmarish abyss.

Gameplay:

Amanda's companions on this harrowing journey include Virgil, a peculiar reptilian creature bound within an enchanted sword, and a group of four malevolent beings collectively known as the Entities. Interestingly, players have the unique opportunity to take on the roles of these Entities, each possessing their own distinct set of special abilities.

The development of "The Lost" was marked by a series of persistent challenges. Playable versions of the game were plagued by instability issues, most notably a jittery and unreliable framerate. In a bid to salvage the project, the development team made a significant mid-development decision to switch from the LithTech game engine to Epic Games' Unreal Engine, hoping for better performance and stability. Moreover, the game's publishing model underwent a notable transformation. Originally following a traditional publishing approach, it was restructured into a more budget-friendly model by Crave Entertainment.

Final Words:

However, as development continued, a litany of legal issues and complications accumulated, ultimately leading to the game's termination. Despite the ambitious and intriguing concept, "The Lost" sadly never saw the light of day as a fully realized video game.

Hard Truck Apocalypse: Arcade / Ex Machina: Arcade Free Download [2023]

Hard Truck Apocalypse: Arcade / Ex Machina: Arcade Introduction:

"Hard Truck: Apocalypse, known as Ex Machina in Europe, is a post-apocalyptic vehicular combat science fiction video game created by the Russian game developer Targem Games. It's a part of the larger Hard Truck series, offering players a Privateer-like experience centered around vehicles rather than spaceships, all within a post-apocalyptic European setting. In this game, players assume control of an armored truck, navigating between settlements, engaging in trade with locals, completing quests, and battling various foes to enhance their truck and obtain better weaponry as they progress through the main storyline.

The game's narrative unfolds in a future Earth after the crash of an unidentified flying object, subsequently dubbed 'The Cataclysm.' This catastrophic event ravaged the known world, rendering the atmosphere toxic and causing widespread devastation to animals, plants, and humans. Fortunately, an ingenious individual invented a special mask that enabled people to survive in this hostile environment. With the collapse of government law and order due to The Cataclysm, survivors established new cities and settlements far removed from the old metropolises. They returned to agriculture and trade, while others roamed the landscape, scavenging ruins for valuable resources and crafting. In response to roaming gangs terrorizing Earth, traders and settlers devised means of self-defense and formed alliances and clans.

Gameplay:

The story begins with Ivan Go, a renowned explorer and discoverer, departing on another expedition and entrusting his child, the player and protagonist, to his friend Peter. As the child grows up, Peter eventually allows them to venture out alone in their truck to perform a simple task. During this journey, they encounter a girl named Alice and have a confrontation with a local gang, refusing to pay them. Upon returning home, they discover their village in ruins, engulfed in flames, with no survivors left. Fueled by rage, they embark on a quest for revenge, initially suspecting the local gang but later discovering they were not responsible. They believe Alice may hold the key to unraveling the mystery and set out to find her.

Upon meeting Alice, she reveals her belief that the village attack was the work of a gang leader from an area called Argen. The player tracks down and defeats this leader, only to realize that he was not the true culprit. Subsequently, they encounter the Oracle, who helps them uncover that the attackers were actually afflicted monsters from the Desert Of Death, suffering from a loss of mental faculties.

The player decides against killing these afflicted individuals and focuses on searching for their father, Ivan. To their dismay, they learn that Ivan is already deceased. They also uncover the source of the poisonous air in the environment and make contact with extraterrestrial beings who offer an alternative solution—a device that can gradually purify the toxic air safely. However, the Oracle attempts to dissuade the player, warning them of being manipulated into executing a plan to terraform Earth that will ultimately harm humanity. Disbelieving the Oracle, the player engages in a final confrontation and defeats it. They then proceed to install the device to begin the process of eliminating the source of the poison.

Final Words:

Gameplay in Hard Truck: Apocalypse centers around battling enemies to acquire loot, selling it for currency, and using the proceeds to upgrade their truck or purchase new vehicles. The game offers four difficulty levels: Easy, Medium, Hard, and Impossible. Players have numerous options for weapons, gadgets, vehicle components, and more. As they enhance their vehicle, they face tougher adversaries, necessitating frequent repairs. The game also offers an alternate storyline for replayability.
